Plain Steamed Rice

Let my poetry usher you to my photographs

Month

April 2014

Silhouettes of twilight

When darkness crawls down,
Only silhouettes are shown,
At the very sight of my own.

Misty,
Elegant,
Pieces of black
Over deep blue,
Ornaments of twilight.

Such poise
Leave us with no choice,
But to be lulled
By the voice of the night…

Ode to my Savior

It’s at the cross

That I find Your unfailing love.

It shines across

Every heart – meek and tough.

The love nailed at the cross,

Transcends backgrounds and boundaries,

Rescuing the heart from its loss,

Redeeming, and restoring all casualties,

Brutal is the word,

To define what You must bear.

Nothing is worthy enough to be compared,

To such love, so pure.

Run! Let there be fun!

Run,
As the shadow leads you.
Here comes the sun,
Whose light is chasing you!
Cheerful, as the children
Who jump and cheer for you!
Let there be fun!

That little guy on the bottom left…

Commemorating the passing of my father: 6th April 2006 – 2014.

Plain Steamed Rice

Who would have thought…

that the little guy on the bottom left

would raise a beautiful family of his own…

who loves him dearly

despite his grumpy personality.

Who would have thought…

that the little guy on the bottom left

would raise a loving family of his own…

who is bereaved over his depart

and misses him still, after six years…

Remembering my late father, uncles and aunts.

The siblings (left to right): my father Billy, uncle George, aunt Jenny, aunt Poppy, aunt Connie.
